AEW Rampage Viewership and Key Demo Rating for the Post-Full Gear Black Friday Show - Wrestling Headlines

Friday’s taped post-Full Gear Black Friday edition of AEW Rampage drew an average of 411,000 viewers on TNT, according to Nielsen via Showbuzz Daily. The episode had a special start time of 4pm ET.

This is down 7.64% from the previous week’s taped episode, which drew 445,000 viewers for the Full Gear go-home show.

Rampage drew a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 key demographic on Friday. This is down 21.42% from the previous week’s episode, which drew a 0.14 rating in the key demo. Friday’s 0.11 key demo rating represents 148,000 18-49 viewers, which is down 17.77% from the 180,000 18-49 viewers that the previous week’s 0.14 key demo rating represented, according to Wrestlenomics.

Friday’s Rampage ranked #43 for the night on the Cable Top 150 with the 0.11 key demo rating. This is down from the previous week’s #17 ranking.

Friday’s Rampage ranked #81 in viewership for the night on cable. This is down from the previous week’s #77 ranking.

This week’s Rampage viewership was down 4.64% from the same week in 2021. The key demo rating was down 38.88% from the previous year. The 2021 episode was a taped show in the normal 10pm timeslot.

The College Football game between Baylor and Texas on ESPN topped the day on the Cable Top 150 with a 0.71 key demo rating. The Baylor vs. Texas game on ESPN also topped the night on cable in viewership with 2.690 million viewers.

The Friday Night College Football game between Florida and FSU on ABC topped the day on network TV in viewership with an average of 6.711 million viewers. The Florida vs. FSU game on ABC also topped the day on network TV in the 18-49 key demo with a 1.60 rating.

Friday’s post-Full Gear Black Friday edition of AEW Rampage was taped earlier in the week from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, IL, with full spoilers and the following line-up advertised ahead of time – AAA & IWGP World Tag Team Champions FTR defending their ROH World Tag Team Titles over Top Flight, a promo segment with ROH World Champion Chris Jericho and The Jericho Appreciation Society, Darby Allin vs. Anthony Henry, Hikaru Shida vs. Queen Aminata, plus Rush, The Butcher and The Blade vs. The Dark Order, which was the main event.

ST. LOUIS — Local apartment developer Lux Living is petitioning to have a city board overturn a decision that has kept the company from moving forward with a new project on South Kingshighway Boulevard near Highway 40 (Interstate 64).

Lux Living wants the St. Louis Preservation Board to reverse a decision by the Cultural Resources Office, which staffs the board, to stop the developer from razing a row of long-vacant buildings along South Kingshighway Boulevard, just south of Forest Park. The demolition would clear the way for Lux Living to build a mixed-use apartment development, according to a board agenda.

Lux Living is slated to go before the St. Louis Preservation Board on Dec. 5. Lux owner Victor Alston did not respond to a request for comment. The Preservation Board weighs in on demolition requests for property located in preservation review districts.

The project has already faced hurdles prior to CRO’s decision: The Forest Park Southeast Neighborhood Association this summer declined to endorse the proposal after a former Lux employee shared allegations that the company had talked about going around the city’s building division to take down the properties. Lux has denied those allegations.

The company is one of the most prolific developers in the St. Louis region, but it also has faced controversy over tenant complaints of property mismanagement and efforts to stall a competing development.

And it has often been at odds with the CRO and Preservation Board. Both groups have denied multiple attempts by Lux to demolish other buildings for new apartment developments — even after the Cultural Resources Office admitted to having “overlooked” a report from Lux detailing the property’s structural problems in one such case.

The neighborhood’s alderman, Tina Pihl, has also been a vocal opponent to Lux Living.

The seven buildings on South Kingshighway have been vacant for years. An affiliate of Drury Hotels owned the properties before selling them to Lux Living. Drury in 2008 proposed a $100 million project for two 16-story hotel towers at the site. But the plans never materialized after the Great Recession hit.

ST. LOUIS — A local developer is seeking approval to demolish a former Wells Fargo office in Midtown to make way for two hotels.

2601 Market Hotel Investors LLC — an entity affiliated with St. Louis-based Green Street Real Estate Ventures — is scheduled to go before the St. Louis Preservation Board on Dec. 5 to seek approval for the demolition at Market Street and Jefferson Avenue, according to a board agenda. Green Street bought the property from the St. Louis-based brokerage unit of Wells Fargo & Co. in 2020 for nearly $6 million.

The company said earlier this year that it is partnering with another developer, Maryland Heights-based hotelier Midas, to build a 170-room boutique Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants and a 129-room extended-stay Staybridge Suites at the site. A Green Street representative did not immediately return a request for comment on Friday.

The property is situated at a key location in the city of St. Louis: on the Downtown West and Midtown border, just a quarter mile west from the new soccer stadium and other neighborhood attractions like Union Station.

The Preservation Board weighs in on demolition requests for property located in preservation review districts. The property consists of two office buildings totaling over 100,000 square feet of space.

It’s not clear from the board agenda if the developer’s demolition request includes both buildings. But both were listed in an application for a demo permit Green Street filed in July.

The buildings, which Wells Fargo called the A and B buildings, are older than the rest of the company’s campus. Wells Fargo had already moved employees out of those spaces and into newer, renovated buildings on the campus prior to its sale to Green Street. Company officials had previously said it could benefit from a full-service hotel with large enough conference spaces to host employees.

The discussion surrounding a recently leaked batch of Latto tracks has received responses from Coi Leray and BIA, with the former taking the time to offer unknowledgeable listeners a mini-course on songwriting.

The leak in question, notably, featured Latto versions of Leray’s “Blick Blick” and BIA’s “Whole Lotta Money.” The tracks were leaked to social media following Latto and Nicki Minaj’s public back-and-forth, which—as previously reported—was quite extensive. Minaj, of course, is featured on the studio version of “Blick Blick” and was also enlisted for BIA’s “Whole Lotta Money” remix.

“I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy,” Leray said when addressing the Latto leaks in a recent Instagram update. “It’s fucked up. It’s foolish. There’s a lot of hard work that a lot of people put into the music. Not only the artists, but the producers. And for people to just go on and really leak something that’s precious to someone is corny.”

From there, Leray turned her attention to providing what she said was “a little education” for those not grasping the situation.

“My whole album, I mean, every single feature, written by me,” she said, adding that her “pen game is super amazing.” Leray then shouted out several “amazing writers” and also pointed to the longstanding fact that writers (namely writers that are not also a given track’s performing artist) have long contributed to many of the most ubiquitous songs in music history.

“There would be no game without writers,” Leray said. “Now, when it comes to rap, I also understand that as well but I do melodies, I’m melodic. I’m not sitting here trying to rap battle nobody.”

As for those sticking with their criticism, Leray noted this approach was “ignorant” and showed a lack of understanding of the process.

“It’s not a funny situation,” she said.

BIA, meanwhile, shared several tweets in response to similar criticism spurred by the leaked Latto tracks. In one tweet, she pointed out how easy it is to simply look up the songwriting credits for a song, using her own “Whole Lotta Money” in a screenshot-captured example.

“But Ntm on this bc I really don’t care who writes and who doesn’t,” BIA added in another tweet before sharing additional examples of her credits. “I only care about making the best song I can make.”

Noisy Philly Counter-Demo Challenges 'TERFs' at Independence Hall - UNICORN RIOT - Unicorn Riot

PHILADELPHIA, PA — On Sunday, November 13, 100+ counter-demonstrators tried to drown out about 30 protesters who were demonstrating against transgender people’s access to medical transitions, recognition of chosen gender and other rights near Independence Hall. The counter-demo side characterized them as “TERFs” or ‘Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminists.’ Philadelphia Police and U.S. National Park Service Park Rangers separated the crowds using bicycle police and portable barricades. Inside the barricades, several men, mostly masked up concealing their identities, paced around and eyed the crowd; they were widely suspected to be Proud Boys providing security according to a counter-protester. However, their identities are unknown.

Over almost three hours, Unicorn Riot interviewed nearly a dozen hoarse but spirited attendees. In this 29-minute video, we hear about why they consider noisy counter-demonstrations strategically significant, as well as reactions to how the recent U.S. elections largely — but not entirely — refuted anti-transgender politicians and messages.

Some interviewees believed that John Fetterman, the current lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania, who will soon be seated as a U.S. senator, would protect their rights. Another interviewee said that democracy and electoralism create situations where groups are enabled to spread messages about taking away rights from transgender people.

While there was at least one round of counter-demonstrators splashing the anti-transgender demonstration with water, no arrests transpired during our time observing the event.

Marquee speaker linked to white supremacists

The marquee anti-trans speaker was British activist Kellie-Jay Keen Minshull, who has also been known by the name “Posie Parker.” Keen Minshull appeared on a podcast with white nationalist French Canadian Jean-Francois Gariepy. An ardent ‘white ethnostate’ supporter, Gariepy has made videos with key Neo-Nazis including Richard Spencer, David Duke and Mark Collett. Several Philadelphia counter-demonstrators highlighted this shared media connection between Keen Minshull and Duke, although they have not appeared side-by-side.

Connections between “gender-critical feminists” like Keen and far-right white supremacists have been turning up for years, and the far-right has tried to leverage opposition to transgender rights to expand its movement. More about Gariepy’s long history with far-right circles and accusations of abusing a minor has previously been documented.

In 2019 Keen Minshull praised high-profile English racist ‘Tommy Robinson’ of the English Defense League who has been supported by the Philadelphia-based think tank Middle East Forum, The Guardian reported in 2018. Robinson’s real name is Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon; he is banned from entering the United States and has been convicted of fraud, in addition to drug and public disorder offenses.

After the anti-trans protesters left the area, they were forced to leave the nearby Khyber Pass Pub by employees who became aware of their bigoted views. The pub “is a punk and metal institution … they aren’t to be fucked with by bigots and fascist[s],” one observer noted.

Kellie-jay Keen’s TERF crew was kicked out of Khyber Pass Pub in Philadelphia.

Her “tour” has consisted of her getting a pie in the face, macing kids, feeling threatened by sirens on megaphones, and now getting kicked from a pub.

TERFs in the Big Apple; arrests follow

The following day, on November 14, a similar rally with Keen Minshull transpired in New York City. The NYPD’s anti-protest Strategic Response Group took aggressive actions to break up the counter-demonstration.

Local street reporter @AshAgony documented the events in a video thread. Ash noted the presence of key NYPD officers including “copaganda minister” Sgt. Carlos Nieves from NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner, Public Information office (DCPI), and another frequent officer at protests, Rodney Rosado. Counterterrorism, Disorder Control Unit, Crowd Management Unit, TARU (audio/video surveillance), Legal and Community Affairs NYPD departments all turned up; nine arrests were made, according to The Indypendent.

SRG was created after Occupy Wall Street in 2015, and civil society groups have long called attention to its mission which conflates protest policing and counter-terrorism.

AEW Rampage 11/18/22 key demo rating increases for final Full Gear build - Wrestling News

The live viewership numbers for AEW Rampage are in. Rampage drew 445,000 viewers and a 0.14 rating in the 18-49 demographic on TNT in the 10 pm ET time slot. Last week the show did 456,000 viewers and a 0.11 rating.

Rampage ranked #17 in the top 150 shows on cable for the night, up from last week with a #55 ranking. Brandon Thurston of WrestleNomics reported the news.

This was the go-home show of Rampage for Full Gear. Here’s the breakdown in each demo for the show:

SCAN Holiday Small Works Art Show & Sale, Artist Demo Planned - The Newtown Bee

The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) has two public events planned for the first full week of next month.

For holiday gifts — to give away or splurge for one’s personal collection — SCAN is offering a Small Works Art Show & Sale. Artist members of SCAN will feature small, original artwork, all 11 by 14 inches or smaller, for purchase “at very reasonable prices,” organizers promise.

The event will be offered one day only, on Saturday, December 3, from 10 am to 4 pm, in the lower level of Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street in Newtown (at The Flagpole).

Silk Aquatint Printmaking

A few days later SCAN will welcome Bonnie Johnson for a demonstration of silk aquatint printmaking.

That program is scheduled for Wednesday, December 7, at 1:30 pm, also in the lower level of the meeting house. The demonstration is open to the public and admission is free.

A graduate of the Silvermine College of Art in New Canaan, and certified in botanical illustration from the Bronx (N.Y.) Botanical Gardens, award-winning artist Johnson finds she can capture “life’s intricacies” through printmaking.

“I find inspiration everywhere,” she says. “Very simply, I notice a scene or an interesting flower or texture and I want to share it through my art. . . . inspires me to explore texture, color and attitude of landscapes and the plant life that surrounds us.”

Utilizing techniques derived from a professional career as an art director, graphic designer, illustrator and art teacher, Johnson currently paints in oil and watercolor and works with a contemporary non-toxic printmaking technique, silk aquatint, an intaglio printmaking technique in which finely woven silk fabric is laminated to a rigid backing.

The artist then creates an image on the silk surface with an acrylic paint and medium mixture. The intaglio “plate” is then traditionally inked and carefully wiped, then printed on dampened paper on an etching press.

Wonderful textures and rich tones can be achieved, and small variable editions can be made. Each print is done by hand and is a unique piece of art.

“I am always experimenting and continue to explore a combination of traditional and non-traditional methods of producing art where boundaries between printmaking, drawing, and painting are obscured or do not exist,” says Johnson, who also taught for many years at the University of Bridgeport and the Al Collins School of Graphic Design and Gibbs College.

Silk aquatint has become her favorite medium, as it uses drawing, painting, color, and technology.

“The result is unique textures, color combinations and subtleties that cannot be achieved any other way,” she explains.

“Chick Chat” is a small acrylic by Adele Moros. Works of 11 by 14 inches or smaller will be featured during the Society of Creative Arts of Newtown Holiday Small Works Art Show & Sale in December.
