ALTON — A home demolition and street improvements are on Monday’s agenda for Alton’s committee of the whole meeting at 6 p.m. Monday.
Aldermen will discuss a resolution to demolish a home at 1121 State St. They also will discuss an ordinance to increase building and zoning fees for about 20 items, including buildings and sign permit fees, electrical permit fees, demolition permit fees and plumbing and mechanical permit fees.
A resolution on improvements to two sections of College Avenue and sections of Rock Springs Drive and Johnson Street also will be considered Monday, along with a resolution to revise the city code to reflect changes in ownership for the sewer treatment plant.
Aldermen also will discuss selling a 2000 fire truck via govdeals.com, with proceeds from sale to be deposited into the city’s general fund.
The city council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, to vote on the items.
