Nintendo and Koei Tecmo released a demo version of Buddy Mission BOND on the Japanese Nintendo eShop on January 15, 2021. [Thanks, Game Watch!]
Buddy Mission BOND was exclusively revealed at the Japanese Nintendo Direct Mini held in October 2020. Although it initially seemed like a Nintendo-published first-party game, Koei Tecmo Games helped in its development. The game is also particularly noted for having its characters designed by Yusuke Murata, who also worked on Eyeshield 21 and One Punch Man.
This demo lets players experience the first two chapters of the game. The save data can also be kept and later brought over to the full game. The demo is only available in the Japanese language.
Buddy Mission BOND is an adventure game that consists of 2D investigations presented with a visual novel style and 3D infiltrations with controllable characters. It also features a Hero Gauge that increases by choosing heroic and correct answers.
To get good ratings in the game, players will need to memorize key terms in the storyline. The terms are essential in providing the correct answers to obtain more clues and unlock more routes in the Infiltration phase. Finishing a chapter with a high rank will unlock optional story content, such as side episodes.
The full version of the Nintendo Switch game Buddy Mission BOND will be available in Japan on January 29, 2021.
