Little Nightmares 2 Demo Available Now On PS4 With New Trailer - Screen Rant

depolitikblog.blogspot.com

Tarsier Studios and Bandai Namco have finally released the free demo for Little Nightmares II on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One consoles; a new trailer, entitled "Lost in Transmission," also accompanied the news. Little Nightmares II's The Wilderness demo previously released on Steam in December 2020, allowing PC gamers exclusively to experience the horrors of the sequel's Wilderness level for a limited time.

The development team originally announced Little Nightmares II back in 2019 during the Geoff Keighley-hosted Gamescom: Opening Night Live. With the follow-up, players can expect to navigate through new kinds of terrors, all while taking control of a new character - Mono. Fans need not fret, however; the first game's protagonist, Six, will also return to the fold as a key character. And fortunately for those who missed out on the initial entry, the title is a part of January's Xbox Games With Gold offerings.

The Wilderness demo for Little Nightmares II is now available to download for free on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms via their respective storefronts. According to a YouTube comment left by Bandai Namco on the sequel's new trailer, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players can also enjoy the demo via backward compatibility. In addition to releasing the demo and the "Lost in Transmission" trailer, Bandai Namco additionally opened digital preorders on Switch. (Preorders were already live on the PlayStation, Steam, and Xbox.)

The demo's wide release seems an exciting way of easing players into the next chapter of Little Nightmares. Considering last week's release of the limited-time Monster Hunter Rise trial on Switch, it's good to see that game demos are once more on the rise again in general. In recent years, free trials have been few and far between, particularly in the AAA space.

With Little Nightmares II's due date nearly upon us, fans are sure to soon wonder what the future holds for developer Tarsier Studios. Barring PS5 and Xbox Series X|S updates that are expected to roll out in the back half of this year, there's no telling what Tarsier has planned next. The possibilities could be limitless, though, regardless of whether or not there's another Little Nightmares in store. This especially holds true given the company's relatively recent acquisition by THQ Nordic's parent company, Embracer Group.
