A new date for the demo of Monster Hunter Rise will be dropping soon, available to all fans of the series who want to take part in this new entry. The drop, which will take place during a livestream, will show when the demo will be available for players to partake in, as well as show a new promotional video for the game.
Monster Hunter Rise was announced for the Nintendo Switch not too long ago and is aiming for a release date of March 26, 2021. A demo for the game was revealed in December during the Game Awards for viewers to get a sneak peek into the world and offering them the chance to play. It was also reported that the game would be available sometime in January.
Now, fans are going to get the chance to play the demo soon, according to 4Gamer and SiliconEra. The livestream will be taking place on January 7, at 6 a.m. PST/2 p.m. GMT/11 p.m. JST on the Monster Hunter Twitch channel. A producer of the game, Ryozo Tsujimoto, and director Yasunori Ichinose will also be making appearances during the broadcast. During this livestream, players can expect to hear an official date of when the demo will drop, along with some other new details about the game and what it has to offer.
It's exciting to hear so much news about this game, considering not too long ago Monster Hunter World had its last update with its final monster added. But it seems that the new game is already beginning to distinguish itself from its previous entry. While no new gun will be appearing in the games, fourteen previous weapons will be making a reappearance. Not only that, but new companions will be showing up as well. Instead of the Palico companion that most players are probably used to from Monster Hunter World, they will instead be given a Palamute Dog Companion, who will attack, mount, and also be an adorable sidekick for the player. There are a couple of new mechanics in there as well, starring a wirebug, a way in which hunters are able to zip around the map much easier than before and travel to destinations a bit further.
The series has done well so far incorporating new mechanics and characters in the main storyline, so hopefully, the new demo that will be dropping soon will give players the chance to experience that before officially buying the game. There have been rumors about a possible arrival on PC, but nothing has been confirmed. Even if Monster Hunter Rise might only be available on the Nintendo Switch, hunters are most likely looking forward to this new installment, as limited as it may be.
