The fireworks show at Six Flags New England, scheduled to be held on Saturday, has been postponed due to the forecast.
The annual fireworks show will be held on Sunday, July 4, at 9:15 p.m., the park announced Saturday afternoon.
The park was closed for multiple days this week after storms hit the region with strong winds and heavy rainfall.
“It was essential that we could open our park for our biggest holiday weekend,” said Jennifer McGrath, Six Flags spokesperson. “I want to reassure the public, what transpired over the last 48 hours does not impact a thing.”
Over 100 rides and attractions reopened ahead of the Fourth of July weekend. The only ride closed was Fireball, which was hit by trees during the storm.
