Former President Donald Trump’s political operation raised $56.8 million from online donors in the first half of the year, but didn’t contribute any to federal candidates he’s supporting for the midterm elections during that period.
Trump raised $21.3 million through WinRed, the GOP’s platform for online payments, for a joint fundraising committee that benefits Save America, his leadership political action committee and his former campaign committee. He also took in $34.4 million through Trump Make America Great Again Committee, which also benefits the Republican National Committee, an analysis of WinRed’s latest Federal Election Commission filing shows.
