AEW Dynamite viewership saw an increase on January 25, which was headlined by a Jay Briscoe tribute match between Mark Briscoe and Jay Lethal.
According to Showbuzz Daily, 1,003,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.32 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership was up from the January 18 episode, when 969,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also rose from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.31 rating in the same demographic.
With the increase in viewership, Dynamite took the third spot in the demographic among cable originals overall Wednesday night. On cable, they were only defeated by ESPN’s coverage of NBA basketball, according to Showbuzz Daily.
This week’s show kicked off with Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara defeating Ricky Starks and Action Andretti in tag team action. The main event saw Mark Briscoe defeat Jay Lethal in a match to honor Mark’s brother, Jay Briscoe. The show ended with the roster on the stage embracing Mark as AEW Dynamite went off the air.
