Finally, after many months of waiting and hype for Final Fantasy XVI, the time to play has arrived. Well, you might actually have already been playing FF16 thanks to its handy demo, which is particularly useful because its transfers over to the main game. The progress of transferring your demo progress to the full game is quite easy and you almost don’t have to do anything. The first thing you want to make sure of is that you play the demo on the same account you want to buy the game. Then all you have to do is download the game and start playing. The game will search your PS5’s drive for any saves and automatically will recognize your progress from the demo and start from there.
However, it’s worth noting that only your progress from the first part of the demo gets carried over. Basically, if you’ve completed the story part of the demo, you will continue your way. Remember, the Final Fantasy XVI demo is divided into two sections. The first part covers the early section of the game that introduces the protagonist of this game, Clive, and his relationship with two of his friends, Joshua and Jill. Players will also get a monster-slaying task along with a few others that will lead to the boss fight between Pheonix and Ifrit.
Later, there’s a Special Battle part of the demo that only focuses on fighting. In this part, players are introduced to how the fighting mechanisms work in Final Fantasy XVI. This includes how to combo, dodge, use different items, and everything that is essential for you to know about the combat of Final Fantasy XVI. Nothing from this section makes it into the final game, so don’t waste your time grinding for XP or items.
