Law360, Los Angeles (February 18, 2020, 11:26 PM EST) -- Former Journey singer Steve Perry and musician Phil Brown tentatively reached a last-minute settlement Tuesday to end a dispute over who has the right to release four demos the musicians recorded together in 1991, after both musicians rested their cases at a half-day trial.
Following a short court trial in downtown Los Angeles, in which Perry testified that his former associate tried to wrongfully profit from the former Journey singer's fame by trying to release the demos, the two musicians reached a tentative settlement at the urging of U.S. District Judge John F. Walter.
