Alexander Valley Winegrowers Hosts a Six-week Virtual Tasting Series, A Chefs Journey Through the Alexander Valley, with Local Winemakers and Chefs
HEALDSBURG, Calif. (July 17, 2020) – Alexander Valley Winegrowers are pleased to present a six-week virtual tasting series, A Chefs Journey Through Alexander Valley, live on Zoom. Each weekly episode is scheduled for Thursday afternoons at 4:30 PM, beginning on July 30 through September 3. Episodes will feature several Alexander Valley winemakers and grape growers, as well as some of the regions internationally known chefs. The series will be moderated each week by media personalities that cover the wine industry. The hour-long episodes will focus on the various grape varietal that make up the tapestry of the Alexander Valley winegrowing region.
“It’s going to be an incredibly exciting journey. Tasting and talking about wine is one thing, doing it with this crew of visionaries and heavy hitters is another. What an opportunity: not just for us, the producers, but the consumer, too.” stated Jake Hawkes, President of the Alexander Valley Winegrowers Association. With numerous world-class growers, wineries, and restaurants found throughout the vineyards and towns within the region, the Alexander Valley Winegrowers embracing the virtual platform as a unique way to create enriching and entertaining access to the wine, food and most importantly, the people that make a livelihood in the valley.
