Six under-the-radar 49ers to watch as training camps open - NBC Sports Bay Area

depolitikblog.blogspot.com

49ers legend Jerry Rice often is called the greatest of all time, and as much as he appreciates the sentiment, there is another group of people that he prefers to get the title of G.O.A.T: Members of the frontline.

Rice stopped by 95.7 The Game recently and praised those still working hard to keep us safe and helping those impacted by the coronavirus, saying “during the pandemic, the frontline people are the real G.O.A.Ts.”

He’s been saying it from the beginning how much he appreciates those putting their lives ahead of their own.

Why argue with greatness?

For his football legacy, he leaves behind such an illustrious career.

The Hall of Fame wide receiver earned 13 Pro Bowl and 10 All-Pro selections across 21 seasons. He also earned three Super Bowl rings in the process.

With 1,548 career receptions, 22,895 career receiving yards and 208 total touchdowns, he knows a thing … or several, to be looped into such prominence.

Rice also is a six-time NFL receiving yards leader on top of his constant success and had his No. 80 uniform number retired by the 49ers.

He’s as good of a guy on the field as he is off of it.
