WHITMAN COUNTY - Whitman County Health Officials reported six new positive COVID-19 test results on Sunday, July 19, bringing the county total number of cases to 66. One of the new patients is a male between the ages of 0-19, three are females between the ages of 20-39, one is a male aged (80+), and one is a male between the ages of 60-79. All six new patients are stable and self-isolating at home.
Of the 66 total positive cases, 47 (71.2%) have recovered and are cleared to discontinue isolation while the other 19 are stable and self-isolating. To date, only one case in Whitman County has required hospitalization and there have been zero deaths.
The six new cases are the highest number of daily reported cases in Whitman County since the first case was reported. The previous high came on July 11, when the county reported five new cases
According to the Whitman County Public Health website, the current risk of community spread based on a seven-day case average in Whitman County, is moderate.
