The Green Bay Packers take the field on Sunday night against the Chicago Bears, and warmups for the contest will determine whether six players will suit up in green and gold for game time. Most of the team’s key contributors are ready to go for Sunday, but there are six players whom the team has listed as questionable on the formal Friday injury report.
Three of those players are key starters, two on offense. Center Corey Linsley tweaked his back in last Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, and he was limited in practice all week long. Joining him is wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who came down with an Achilles tendon injury in Thursday’s practice. MVS did not participate on Friday and could be a game-time decision.
The third starter listed as questionable is cornerback Kevin King, who also saw his Achilles injury flare up. King popped up on the Thursday injury report a week after landing on the report on Saturday. King played every snap last Sunday, however, and he was able to practice on a limited basis on Friday.
Finally, the Packers have three reserves listed as questionable as well: running back Tyler Ervin, wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown, and cornerback Josh Jackson.
The Bears, meanwhile, announced that Mitchell Trubisky will start at quarterback on Sunday. Nick Foles is listed as doubtful after missing practice all week with a hip injury, while Trubisky was a full participant all week long. Meanwhile, the Bears have left tackle Charles Leno, Jr. and defensive lineman Akiem Hicks questionable, in addition to cornerbacks Sherrick McManis and Buster Skrine and offensive lineman Rashaad Coward.
