Packers list six as questionable to play vs. the Bears - Packers.com

depolitikblog.blogspot.com

GREEN BAY – The Packers have listed receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (Achilles), cornerback Kevin King (Achilles) and center Corey Linsley as questionable for Sunday night's game against the Chicago Bears.

Cornerback Josh Jackson (concussion), running back Tyler Ervin (wrist/ribs) and Equanimeous St. Brown (knee) also are questionable.

Valdes-Scantling and King both were added to the injury report following Thursday's padded practice. King was limited during practice Friday, while Valdes-Scantling was the team's only non-participant.

"We're hopeful," said Head Coach Matt LaFleur, when asked after practice about Valdes-Scantling's outlook for Sunday. "Just going through a little something right now. We'll see how he feels on Sunday."

Earlier in the week, LaFleur expressed optimism Linsley should be able to suit up after leaving last Sunday's game in Indianapolis with a back injury. He practiced this week in a limited capacity.

Jackson sat out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday before returning Friday on a limited basis. The Packers also continue to be mindful of Davante Adams' workload, holding their Pro Bowl Receiver out of practice Thursday before returning Friday.

The Packers removed 15 players from the injury report who are expected to be available Sunday: receivers Davante Adams (ankle), Allen Lazard (core) and Darrius Shepherd (shoulder), cornerbacks Jaire Alexander (knee/hand), Chandon Sullivan (ribs) and Ka'dar Hollman (quadricep), tight ends Robert Tonyan (ankle) and Marcedes Lewis (knee), linebackers Christian Kirksey (quadricep) and Kamal Martin (neck), guard Lucas Patrick (toe), safeties Will Redmond (shoulder/elbow) and Vernon Scott (shoulder), punter JK Scott (back/right quadricep), and defensive lineman Billy Winn (knee).

The Bears have listed quarterback Nick Foles (hip) as doubtful after not practicing this week, while removing Mitchell Trubisky (right shoulder) from the injury report on Friday – clearing the way for the fourth-year QB to play Sunday.

Chicago also has five players who are questionable: defensive tackle Akiem Hicks (hamstring), offensive linemen Charles Leno Jr. (toe) and Rashaad Coward (ankle), and defensive backs Sherrick McManis (hand) and Buster Skrine (ankle).

Skrine, the team's nickel cornerback, was added to the injury report Friday as a limited participant.

In addition to Trubisky, the Bears removed seven from the injury report who are expected to be available: tight end Jimmy Graham (not injury related), defensive tackle John Jenkins (ankle), linebacker Barkevious Mingo (shoulder), running back David Montgomery (concussion), offensive lineman Sam Mustipher (knee), receiver Cordarrelle Patterson (calf), and linebacker Danny Trevathan (personal).
