The new bee-themed restaurant and bar, by the Central Connecticut State University campus, nods to the city’s motto, which translates to “industry fills the hive and enjoys the honey.”
The Hive offers relaxed pub fare like poutine, wings, burgers, sandwiches and flatbreads, accompanied by “buzzworthy” bee-themed cocktails: a Queen Bee gin drink with lemon and honey; a Dirty Bee martini with vodka, dry vermouth, local honey and olive brine.
