Lane Construction, the US subsidiary of Italian contractor Webuild, has completed work on a $177m widening project for Florida's Turnpike in Orange County six months ahead of schedule.
Used by three million commuters each day, Florida’s Turnpike System has been expanded from four to eight lanes to reduce congestion between the Turnpike’s Mainline from Osceola Parkway to Beachline Expressway.
Three new ramps and two new flyovers have been opened at the SR 417 Interchange.
The turnpike provides access routes from Miami to Central Florida and can accommodate growing tourism in the area.
