Will there be a Fifa 22 demo? What we know and how to get EA Play early access ahead of the release date - iNews

The release of Fifa 22 is just around the corner, with the game launching worldwide on 1 October.

However, there are several ways to get access to the game early.

The Fifa games are always one of the most anticipated of the year, and developer EA has announced a host of new features for the latest iteration.

Here’s how to try them out ahead of the official release.

Is there a Fifa 22 demo?

There is not currently a Fifa 22 demo, and nothing has been announced.

EA’s Twitter account replied to someone asking about a demo on Tuesday, saying: “There has not been any official announcement at this stage about a demo release, so I would advise you to keep an eye on the official Twitter account for the game for any updates or announcements as we get nearer to the game release.”

There was no demo for Fifa 21. EA said last year: “Instead we’ve made the decision to focus our development team’s time on delivering the best full game experience.”

How can I get early access?

Even if EA does not release a demo, there are a few ways you can get early access to the game.

The first is by signing up for EA Access, which will give you a 10-hour play trial ahead of release, starting from 22 September.

EA Play on PlayStation, Xbox and Windows is £3.99 per month or £19.99 per year.

It also allows you to access month rewards such as Ultimate Team season XP boosts, and Ultimate Team stadium customisation names.

Another way to get the game early is by pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition, which costs £89.99.

The higher price gets you the game four days early, along with a number of Ultimate Team items and upgrades.

You can pre-order the game from EA here.

New features

The big addition is HyperMotion technology, which will be exclusive to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Stadia.

EA used motion capture on 22 professional players and combined it with a machine learning algorithm in order to create more realistic movements and reactions.

General manager of EA Sports Fifa, Nick Wlodyka, said: “Fifa 22 offers millions of fans around the world a chance to engage with the sport they love in an unprecedented way.

“Each player experiences Fifa in their own way but on-pitch gameplay is the unifying constant, so we’re excited to offer deep innovation there.

“HyperMotion elevates that even further on next-gen consoles and Stadia and completely changes the feel of the game.”

Another big addition is the option to create a club in career mode – a feature fans have wished for for a long time.

The addition of hero cards to Ultimate Team has also been confirmed.
