Fans of life sim and management games can try out a new one for free before it launches on Steam. Arcade Paradise is available to demo now, ahead of its debut in Spring 2022.
Developed by Nosebleed Interactive and published by Wired Productions, Arcade Paradise tasks you with turning your family's laundromat into a successful arcade business. Your adventure takes you back to the 1990s, with a whole lot of nostalgia.
The story behind Arcade Paradise kicks off with you working in the laundromat doing mundane tasks, such as washing rags and other not-so-fun activities. Once you begin the transformation, that's where the fun actually begins.
Players have up to 35 arcade machines to chose from in-game to attract customers. The arcade games will be from across 30 years of gaming, beginning with the earliest vector games to the 32-bit era. Every arcade game will have its own set of missions and stories to complete.
That's not the only neat thing about this upcoming title. There's also multiplayer in the arcade game themselves that allows you to compete with up to four players. In true retro arcade fashion, you can even put in your initials on high score leaderboards in the individual games.
On top of those game modes, it will also include a killer soundtrack. All the tunes you hear, whether through playing the various games or choosing one to liven up your arcade through the jukebox, are inspired by the '90s.
Also a note for fans of The Witcher: a well-known voice actor from the series has a cameo of sorts in this title. Doug Cockle, the voice of Geralt himself, plays the role of your character's father who will share advice and suggestions while you're away.
Arcade Paradise isn't the only simulation game getting attention right now. PC Building Simulator has been claimed over 2.5 million times on the Epic Game Store since temporarily going free to play.
